Longnote AIPrivacy Policy

Longnote AI is an iPhone app made by NVL BIZ TECHNOLOGY, a business registered in Malaysia (registration no. 202303006739). In this policy, "we" and "us" mean NVL BIZ TECHNOLOGY. It explains what the app collects, why, who processes it, how long it is kept and what you can do about it.
In short
- You can use Longnote AI without giving us your name, email address or phone number.
- We use your audio only to make your transcript and notes. Uploaded audio is deleted automatically 30 days after upload, or sooner if you delete the recording.
- Your transcripts and notes stay until you delete them.
- No ads and no tracking across apps or websites, and we never sell your data. We don't use your recordings, transcripts or notes to train AI models.
What we collect
- Your recordings. Audio you record or import in the app, and what you add to it: titles, bookmarks, speaker names, and your choice of language and note style.
- What we make from them. Transcripts, speaker labels, notes and summaries.
- An anonymous app ID. The app creates a random ID on your iPhone so we can keep your recordings and credits together. It is not your name, your email address or your Apple ID.
- Sign in with Apple, if you choose it. Apple gives us an ID for your Apple account, and your email address only if you choose to share it, so you can open your recordings on your other devices.
- Purchases. When you buy credits or a subscription, Apple sends us the transaction details we need to check the purchase. We never see your card or other payment details.
- Notifications, if you allow them. A push token, so we can tell you when your notes are ready. Notifications don't contain the content of your recordings.
- Technical data. Your IP address and basic details of each request when the app connects, which we use to keep the service secure and to prevent abuse, and your language setting.
We don't collect your contacts, location, photos or advertising ID, and the app has no advertising or analytics tools from other companies.
How we use it
- To turn your recordings into transcripts, tell the speakers apart and write your notes.
- To show your recordings in the app, and on your other devices if you use Sign in with Apple.
- To check purchases and keep track of your credits, free time and subscription.
- To send your "notes are ready" notification, if you allow it.
- To keep Longnote AI secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers to run Longnote AI. They act on our behalf and only for the purposes above:
- Secure processing of audio. A processing provider runs the speech recognition that turns your audio into a transcript and tells the speakers apart.
- AI notes. An AI model provider writes the notes from your transcript. It receives the transcript text, not your audio.
- Storage and delivery. A storage provider keeps uploaded audio until it is deleted, and a network provider protects and delivers our app and website traffic.
- Apple, for App Store purchases, Sign in with Apple and notifications.
Before your first upload, the app names the processing and AI providers on its consent screen and asks for your permission. We require our providers to protect your data at least as well as this policy describes. They may process data in countries other than yours. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
How long we keep it

Your choices and rights
- Delete any recording in the app at any time. This deletes its audio, transcript and notes.
- Delete all your data from Settings in the app.
- Turn notifications or microphone access off in iOS Settings at any time.
- Email support@longnoteai.com to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it. Because accounts are anonymous, we may ask for details from the app to find your data.
- If you are in Malaysia, the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 gives you the right to access and correct your personal data and to withdraw your consent. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or limit how we use your data, and to complain to a data protection authority.
Recording other people
Recordings often include other people. Ask for their permission where the law requires it. You are responsible for the recordings you make and upload.
Children
Longnote AI is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We encrypt data in transit, limit who can access it and delete audio automatically after 30 days. No way of storing or sending data is completely secure, but we work to protect yours.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the change is important, we will also tell you in the app.
